The Brief
Sweetwater started when the founders noticed a trend in new breweries across the country. They noticed that overall, they weren’t connected to where they started, to where they are based, to the place where their customers are familar with, and feel overwhelmed. This spurred the idea to create a beer company centered around their region and history. Allowing customers to feel connected to that part of the country and excited about the beer they were drinking, even if they weren’t familiar with craft beer. At the end of the day, they truly believe that everyone deserves a great can of beer.
They came to Backdoor with a clear vision and wanted to design a brand around it. We worked with them to develop a bright, energetic, and expressive brand that could appeal to all.
To enhance the brand, we developed interactive plugins for the website. These plugins were developed to allow the users and customers to explore and learn; to grow a greater understanding of where the beer and ingredients come from and the people behind them. Stills from these plugins are used throughout the digital presence, in packaging, collateral, and in promotional items.
